Two and a half years ago my at-the-time wife-to-be and I came upon Chateau Lartigolle, a gorgeous place in the countryside near Toulouse. We immediately decided that we’d have our wedding there.
We visited it again for a planning trip, were there for nearly a week for the wedding, and have been back for weekends twice since. We honestly can’t get enough of it; it’s the perfect mix of luxury and comfort. The people that run it are great, too.
We’re back again. I’m writing this blog entry from the Toulouse airport as we queue for our rental car.
The chateau had a wedding cancellation and decided to fill the space with a party: a big meal tonight, followed by a party in their cave DJ’d by their neighbour Andy Cato (one of the guys from Groove Armada), and lunch tomorrow. There are locals, people camping, and some – like us – staying in the chateau. We’re tacking on Sunday night too, and have booked Monday off of work.
Let the party begin. See you on the other side.

Say hi to O’Malley for me.
Unfortunately, O’Malley has gone to kitty heaven. He was getting old and infirm.
Oh. Well then. Uh…say hello to whoever’s left alive there, then, will you?
